It's hard to believe summer is almost here! Below are a few recent pictures from our Memorial Day trip to Chesapeake, VA. We had a good time visiting with Donnie's family. Saturday we headed out to a Tides baseball game in downtown Norfolk. Then we stuffed ourselves at the family cookout on Sunday. Before we started back home on Monday we had time to see how cold the water was in Virginia Beach. The sand was hot, but the water was freezing!
Here are a few pics of Zoe & Bella. They hunkered down inside with us all night because we had terrible storms move through, including a few tornadoes. Not fun! We're all safe and sound though, Praise the Lord!
Here are a few pictures from the Turlington Homestead located in Coats, NC. We traveled down to Campbell University (Donnie's ol' stomping grounds), so we decided to swing by and snap some pictures of the original home site of Donnie's grandfather. The fact that it's still standing is amazing! Really a cool thing to see.........
We just got back from Florida last week! We were at Fort Myers Beach (on the Gulf side). It was so beautiful down there! Here are a few of the pictures.
Off to the wilderness...again! This past Sunday we decided to try out some hiking trails in the area. It was a perfect day for it...not too hot! We had a great time and definitely got our exercise in for the day!
We were at Tanglewood Park this weekend for my Mom's company picnic, so we had the opportunity to jump in a canoe and enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
